Hello Titans!!

Welcome to Part Two of the Championship Edition of the Weekly Update!

Varsity Co-Ed Soccer Championship

Our Varsity Co-Ed Soccer Team won big (5-1) against The Howard School on 10/17 and brought home the first Varsity Soccer Championship! That’s right! Tapestry has already won TWO Varsity level Championships in 2023! Cheers to our Student Athletes, Coach Patel, and Coach Cal for an UNDEFEATED 12-0 season. We look forward to honoring them with a banner in the gym soon. GO TITANS!!❤️ #WeAreTapestry

Superintendent Horton Visits Tapestry

On Tuesday, October 10th, DCSD Superintendent Dr. Devon Horton visited Tapestry. He chatted with our Admin Team as well as valued stakeholders. The Athletics team proudly presented Dr. Horton with a Tapestry Soccer Jersey and we firmly believe his well wishes helped propel us to victory! We also extended an open invite to all Tapestry Athletics events, and hope to see Dr. Horton at a home game in the near future!

Lady Titans Volleyball

Lady Titans Volleyball ended their season on 10/17 with a strong finish! We are proud of the team’s growth this year and look forward to next season! Thanks so much to the fans and families that made this season great. We broke Volleyball attendance records this year!

Fee Payment

Sports Dues for the 2023-2024 season are $200 per student. We are also offering a multi-sport discount for our athletes. The first sport is $200, second sport is $150 and a third sport is $100. Additionally, we are offering a sibling discount of 10%. Each additional sibling playing any sport is eligible for this discount. Please email [email protected] if you have questions.

We are excited to offer a one stop shop for student fees this year! Fees will be collected using MyMealOrder.com, the same program we use for school lunch. Please login or sign up for a school account at MyMealOrder.com Once logged in, click Fees and Activities at the top and then click the icon for your sport to make your payment! Use the drop down list at the top left to toggle between the students in your Family. Rosters have been added, please email the team if your student is not listed!

Gym Repairs

Please note that gym repairs are ongoing! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete some much needed repairs and upgrades to the scoreboard, gym floor, basketball hoops, and lobby.

Cheerleading

Congratulations to our 2023-2024 Captains and Co-Captains

-All Cheer will practice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (10/23,24,26,27)

-Cheer will join basketball in the gym from 4:30-5:15pm every practice day this week as we work to acclimate ourselves to GameDay noise levels and activity.

MS & Varsity Basketball

MS & Varsity teams have been selected! Congratulations to the following students:

-Students have been added to MyMealOrder for Fee Payments.

-MS & Varsity Basketball will practice Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (10/23,24,26,27)

-The 1st Basketball game of the season for ALL teams is AWAY at Cumberland Academy on 11/02. Full Basketball Schedules will be released on Friday 10/27.

Girls Basketball

-Girls Basketball Tryout EXTENDED! Please see Coach Porter or Coach A if you are interested in Girls Basketball!

-Team will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week from 7:30-8:30AM in the Gym.

-The 1st Basketball game of the season for ALL teams is AWAY at Cumberland Academy on 11/02. Full Basketball Schedules will be released on Friday 10/27.
