Weekly Update 11/05

Good Evening Students & Families!

Basketball Season kicked off this week for our Lady Titans and Varsity Boys Basketball Teams.

The Lady Titans opened their season with a 3 point shot by Sakari J! J’Lei J, Emma A. and Jay A. also had strong showings in the game against Cumberland. They didn’t get the win, but are looking forward to this week’s home game for redemption!

Varsity Boys Basketball pulled out a record setting 76-34 win over Cumberland Academy with the most points ever scored in a Tapestry Basketball game! Willie Poole III lead the team with 25 points, followed by Kingston Willingham with 16 and Austin Shelton with 14. They are also looking forward to continuing Conference play against Mill Springs Academy this week.

Upcoming Games

Join us for our Home Opener against Conference rival Mill Springs Academy this Tuesday, Nov 7th. This is also Middle School’s first game of the season!

All Home Basketball games are FREE for Tapestry Students. Games are $5 for adults. We encourage all fans to wear their best Titan Red!

Fee Payment

Fees for Fall Sports (Volleyball, Soccer & XC) are now OVERDUE! Winter Sports Fees (Cheer & Basketball) are due now!

Sports Dues for the 2023-2024 season are $200 per student. We are also offering a multi-sport discount for our athletes. The first sport is $200, second sport is $150 and a third sport is $100. Additionally, we are offering a sibling discount of 10%. Each additional sibling playing any sport is eligible for this discount. Please email [email protected] if you have questions.

We are excited to offer a one stop shop for student fees this year! Fees will be collected using MyMealOrder.com, the same program we use for school lunch. Please login or sign up for a school account at MyMealOrder.com Once logged in, click Fees and Activities at the top and then click the icon for your sport to make your payment! Use the drop down list at the top left to toggle between the students in your Family. Rosters have been added, please email the team if your student is not listed!

Gym Repairs

Our new Scoreboard is IN! Huge thanks to our Donors and Tapestry’s Facilities Team for their help getting this huge piece of our upgrades done! We hope you’ll come see it in person for a home game!

Gym repairs and upgrades are ongoing! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue the work of making our gym a safe and fun place for our Athletes!

Cheerleading

-All Cheer will practice Monday, Wednesday & Friday this week (11/6, 11/8 & 11/10)

-Please check your What To Wear/What To Pack email on Monday Evening for Uniform requirements and GameDay details.

-The Middle School - Red Squad will Cheer for the full MS Boys game AND the 1st half of the Lady Titans Game on Tuesday, Nov 7th. MS Athletes should arrive at 3pm.

-Varsity - Blue Squad will Cheer for the 2nd half of the Lady Titans game and the full Varsity Boys game on Tuesday, Nov 7th. Varsity Athletes should arrive no later than 4pm.

Middle School Basketball

-MS Basketball will practice Monday, Wednesday & Friday this week (11/6, 11/8 & 11/10)

-The Middle School will play their 1st game of the season on Tuesday, Nov 7th AT HOME vs Mill Springs Academy at 4:00pm. Athletes should arrive at 3pm. Temporary uniforms will be provided upon arrival!
